I'm Baaaack!!

Hello my lovely followers,

Today I have been reminded by my BF that yes i am indeedy a very slack blogger!  There has been soooo much going on over the last few months that my head is still spinning.  A promotion at work that is taking me away from home for even longer than i am, a new block of land being purchased, lots and lots and lots of display home shopping finsing the perfect house to our tiny budget.  Our house put on the market - man that was longer and harder than i EVER thought.  Trying to pack and downsize this house - including craft- to fit neatly with the rest of our lives into the garage.  So as I FINALLY get a night off work I better pop somethign up or my 17 followers (not incl. myself..long story..lol ) will become none as I don't post often enough.  So for Kylie (BF) who checks my blog every day and has waited 2 months here are some tags i did yesterday for xmas pressies.  PLus a cute little thang from The Greeting Farm who has been coloured using my first set of limited colours of used copics.....enjoy, i promise i will TRY to post more often...(luv u K xx)

As you can see I am still learning to use copics and am still preferring the watercolours, but like to mix them.

It finally got finished!

Well after how long? a week I actually got my card for The lollipop challenge done.  Even though I missed the cutoff I thought I would post it anyway.  The lollipop Ladies are a challenge blog dealing with challenges that are oh so sweet and yummy.  This one was centred around colourful candy canes.  Their next one for this week is Strawberries and Cream...I better get cracking early ....you know me....always delayed.

Just a quick note...

I know it's been a little while since i posted but i had to virtually pack my craft room away to move a wall unit into the garage as I bought a lowline unit.  But never fear I have a card half done sitting on my desk (that's pushed into a corner) as I bravely delved into the mess just to have a play yesterday.  I will (hopefully) finish the card off tomorrow if Haylee gives me 5 mins (well, 30 mins) peace and post it up.  Since I didn't sell my unit I decided to take some friends advice and use it for storage - Peter was NOT happy!  lol

Ok, so reason for this post is one of my fave online shops Bizzy Becs has created a new Blog for her store and has some fine candy to give away.  Here is her link to be in the running :  http://bizzybecsstore.blogspot.com/

I have purchased a few things off Bec, alot of them having to be ordered from o/s but she is the loveliest person to deal with.  She keeps you updated all the way and has awesome products too.  I actually have an order coming now.....so give her some love and you could win some candy!

I am considering applying for her design team but am thinking maybe i don't post enough so I may wait until next year when Hay is in school and I have more time...

Just to post a pic or two I will post a pic of my new babies, Axel after getting groomed not long ago - no he doesn't look like this anymore after playing in the rain puddles last weekend but he did look so gorgeous... he is now about 13 weeks old and Peppa is the little one - she is about 9 weeks old she just had a bath, no groomers. Aren't they adorable!!! yes they are!!!

Keep well xxx

New stamps to play with.....

Helllloooooo fellow bloggers and blog followers....that was a mouthful!  I have a few cards to put up today (made Wednesday just gone) so I hope you enjoy them.  As always, I love your comments and suggestions so please don't be shy!  I receved a package in the mail today from The Stamp Spot containing my new stamps "The Creeper Crew" - Creeper Monday and Creeper Thursday and also 3 Miss Anya stamps set Rain Hail or Shine.....guess who's going to try to escape into the garage this weekend!!  I will post some more stuff soon.

I had fun with this one, I made the card a while ago but was waiting for the sentiments to come so have finally finished it.  CC Designs stamps, Bazzill Basics, paper from a Big W pad, watercoloured using Lyra's.

This gorgeous lady is Gossmere from Tiddly Inks and I loved colouring her in - her colour is a little washed out in the pic so you'll have to believe me that it's actually alot nicer looking in real life.  Her sash and tiara have glitter on them and I used some paper from my stash, some brads and a white gel pen for a little bit of doodling....simple so as not to take the effect away from Gossmere.

Heidi is a CC Designs stamp watercoloured with Lyra's and copics.  The patterned paper is from the Big W pad again (it's a citrus one) and I just used the Kaszazz Super Butterfly Punch and some craft wire I had to make the antennae.  The "MWAH" is from the same set as the Fintastic Stamp in the mermaid one.

Hope you enjoyed those, will post some more soon xx

a difficult time...

So sorry I have been a bit slack with blogging lately.  I have made some cards in the last fortnight but then had my dog to deal with so hadn't posted.  For those of you who know me personally already know about Tyson but just briefly, my gorgeous 10 and a half year old Boxer had to be put to sleep on Monday.  It was an extremely hard decision but a necessary one.  He had developed a brain tumour probably about 12- 18 months ago which we were unaware of, thinking he was just "slowing down with age" as Boxers have an average lifespan of 10 years.  It became aggressive and last week he started (i hope) having seisures.  We put him on medication but we weren't going to let him go through seisures until the medication kicked in - which was supposed to be up to 2 weeks.  It wasn't fair and it confused the hell out of him.
Some people say they are just dogs but not our Tys, he was our first baby - our first responsibility as a couple and we raised him from 8 weeks old together.  He had to get used to going from just the three of us to the four of us when Brock was born to the five of us when Haylee came along ...as well as nephews to boot.  He was the sweetest, most protective, patient dog and all he wanted was to be loved, and he was.  So i wait for the phone call to let me know when my baby boy can come home in his beautiful box when he will go in my wall unit with his lead so we can talk to him to deal with our grief.  The kids are very confused and keep asking when we are going to get him or when can they visit him at the vet - it's so hard to make them understand - so I told them he is in heaven with Fluffy and Nike - my sisters dog and my BF's dog and they are ok with that.

So much for the "brief" story but I feel better talking about it.  I know it will get easier as all grief does but just right now it's awful and it all hurts just too much....too much to even craft.  But i will post some cards I made last fortnight and hopefully I will get out there and do some more soon.....the memories are a bit painful out there in my craft shed as I constantly fought with Tys to stay out...he just wanted to be with me all the time....the things you regret.....

Here is a card I made for a Tiddly Inks Blog Hop but had to work the night it was on so missed out posting it - it was a Halloween challenge....don't you just love the witch, she's a digi and she's wicked!

The flowers I made with Black Bazzill and dusted the edges with Bronze ink.  I coloured the image with Lyra's and copics, used purple glitter for her magic dust and ice stickles for her wings and dress.  White gel pen to highlight her hair, silver for the faux stitching, some Kaszazz ribbon which matched perfectly and some orange Bazzill for matting.  The white dotty paper is the recent wedding range from Kaszazz and the black felt stars and purple eyelets are from my stash.

This next one is another Tiddly Inks digital from the amazing artist Christy Croll....apparently she just whipped this one up as a doodle!  Wish I could doodle like this.....she's amazing, you'll be seeing more of her images on my blog shortly, I have bought quite a few :O)

I used Oatmeal base, white Bazzill for the strips matted on Crimson with the hearts puched out of that aswell...they are a Kaszazz Super Heart.  The eyelets are silver (Kaszazz) and the image was coloured with Lyra's and I chalked around the image with Pebbles chalks.  I didn't have an appropriate saying so made up one...lol  hubby might get this one for Valentine's Day next year...lol

What a day!!

Have I ever mentioned that I HATE school holidays?  and the funny thing is the child of mine who is on school holidays is the one who has been gone all day and not the one giving me grief!  My darling little 4 year old has been so mean and nasty to me all day that by tonight she "hated" me and i'm a "loser" !!  Well what can you say to that?!  I could have run off crying but i don't think she would have cared anyway.  So I sit here in the peace and quiet (after she fell asleep on the lounge - hopefully thinking she hurt mummy's feelings, but highly unlikely), staring at one of my favourite cards I have ever made and thinking "I'm no loser!, check out that card".  I do believe I am getting better at this hobby and owe it all to friends, fellow bloggers, fellow Kaszazz Consultants, magazines and the blessed internet.  I discovered how to make these roses about a year ago on a blog and never actually tried it.  Probably because I didn't have the same tools or the time for that matter.  Well a Kaszazz consultant called Grace put up a tutorial on her blog http://www.createwithease.blogspot.com/ on how to make roses and having all the tools this time I decided to give it a go.  Now I will be showing some friends how to make them this week because they are AMAZING!!  Thank you so much Grace, you clever ducky....now here's what I made..that I love and hope you do too...

The paper is just a cheap pack i have had for years.  The blue card is SB Essentials from Kaszazz, the rhinestones, the sticky bling, the ice stickles in the roses, the glitter on Anya's wings and the Glue Gloss it is attached to, the ink, the Angel Post stamp, the scallop punch, the watercolour crayons used to colour the image, the ribbon and the tape and glossy accents are all from Kaszazz also.  The main stamp is Angel Anya from The Greeting Farm.

C.C Designs and Hero Arts

Hi everyone,  I have been playing lately with my Swiss Pixies from C.C Designs - this is Nora on a swing and she is adorable!  She arrived with my Greeting farm stamps a few weeks ago and I love playing with her.  Also there is Liesel and her Wheelbarrow - she's really versatile as to what you can put in her barrow which is cute and I can't wait to have some more "me" time to try that concept out!

I made a card for my gorgeous Godson Reece who turns 9 soon....9!!!!  holy cow!!  I made his with the little monster set from Hero Arts.  So cute.

And the last card is Kaszazz's lovely tree stamp and a butterfly from their bug set ( i'm hurriedly writing this before I go to work so I can't get the exact names of things just now.) which I love the colour combo for.

Happy stamping and if you are interested in purchasing any of the products I use you can place an order for Kaszazz products or I can let you know where I get my non-Kaszazz things from.....

Enjoy the view :O)

a day of crafting...

Yes it was decided that we needed another impromptu craft day (we as in Kylie D, my sister Megan and I). The weather wasn't much good for motorbike riding so we decided to craft instead...always a great alternative!  Here are some pics of our creations...and a few from our Crafty Tuesdays earlier in the week.

Here's Kylie D's card with the newly purchased tree, cannot wait to play with this one, and owl from a set she purchased from the Craft and Quilt Fair last week and our fence stamp.

Here's Angel Anya - her hair isn't green by the way it's just the reflection. She's such a sweetie.

And in orange - love the orange.

This is a set from Hero Arts - these stars are really diverse - wish Kaszazz would sell a set like this!

My sisters clock close up.

The final product!!

Angel Anya

Well, straying off the Kaszazz trail for a minute, my stamps from The Greeting Farm have arrived and here are two cards using one of these stamps - Angel Anya.  I have 4 stamps in total and endeavour to do some crafting if it kills me this week!  The Black one is just Kaszazz SB essential cardstock, an Angel sentiment stamp, embossed in clear over Metallic Colorbox ink, white organdy ribbon and white cardstock.  The buttons I picked up from Aldi of all places - a big bag of colourful buttons for $7.  Gotta love a bargain!   Anya is coloured in with Lyra watercolours, white gel pen , icestickles and glossy accents, all from Kaszazz also - did i say i was going off the Kaszazz trail?  .

The oatmeal one is Kaszazz cardstock, Bazzill Basics, new pearls, watercolours and gel pen.  The patterned paper is Kaisercraft - left over from a 50th album (posting those pics shortly).  I am still trying my hardest to get a nice skin tone from the crayons and resisting the urge to buy some skin tone copic markers - i'm perservering though....

A few birthday cards...

I made some birthday cards a couple of days ago....one for a friend's 35th and another for my girlfriend's Dad who turns 50 soon.  They are using the new stamps from the latest Kaszazz release.  The first card (for the 35th) is using the Aussie Guy stamp, the All Boy paper range and the Happy Birthday Stamped stamp.  I also used the gorgeous new blue SB essentials paper - Ocean.  I coloured the man with watercolours to match the paper and voila!!

Here's the 50th one below... using the new fence stamp and the birdhouse.

Hope you like them xx

Another successful Team Training Day!!!

Today (and yesterday for some) was the May 2010 Team Training Day for all consultants and their guests.  I was lucky enough to host another one this time and as usual thoroughly enjoyed myself.  Here are a few pictures of the girls hard at work.  We ran through a business session, the new products, 2 demonstration cards, 1 tag to make, a card workshop and a scrapbook layout workshop.  I think everyone had a great day and I have attached some competition photos to see also.  Penny won first prize for her gecko on the wattle branch - lovely masking there Pen and Toni won 2nd and 3rd (i told you all to enter!) for her two cards, the gecko and the man at the pub.  Well done to you both, the cards were awesome!!   As you can see from the pics they all LOVE getting their picture taken - lol - they are in the "working and concentrating mode".

About Me

My photo
Hello and welcome to my work in progress....I am a mum of two very outgoing children who keep me on my feet all day. A wife to a man who works hard for our family and doesn't like my craft at all (lol) and a dedicated yet part time Admin Assistant for a charity organisation. I have a love for motorbike riding as well as craft and love to shop - who doesn't right?! Back onto craft - craft in general has been a BIG part of my life for so many years I couldn't possibly tell you when it all first started. Around 2008 I fell in love with Papercrafting, of all forms, off the page, scrapbooking and card making and stamping (my fave). Going from just fun to running my own party plan business with Kaszazz and then back to "just for fun". I hope you enjoy the journey with me as I experiment with techniques, colours and product and learn with me also as I inevitably make mistakes and disasters....all in good fun. Enjoy!!
